It said it would be the hottest day of the year, so we headed to the nearest slate mine where it was 6oC all year. I nearly had a panic that I had left all warm clothing back at the camp site, but I found a thick pullover. It was a very good decision.
We also found an old Roman camp which for some reason has no signs at all leading to it and a nice picnic spot by Llyn Trawsfynnedd. Continue reading »
We got here. We used the SatNav (known to us as Susan) because I wasn’t sure which was the best route. Near Denbigh I missed a turning, and in revenge Susan led me through a scary set of single track lanes before taking us through spectacular moorlands and down towards Cardigan Bay.
We got here, just below Harlech Castle, dead on time and put up the awning. We are getting better at this, only 90 minutes this time. Don’t ask how long it took the first time. Continue reading »

The MRI want me to do lots of physio and other exercise, but my right ankle is not really up to it. So I begged the GP to organise another steroid injection to my right ankle at a different hospital, so I could do the extra physio. And it all went wrong! Continue reading »

First news is that the scan does not distinguish between active cancer and dead scar tissue. So all she can say is that it has not grown. They find out more when they go in with a knife. Continue reading »
