I’ve spent the last 48 hours giving up my work.  If this is what it takes to retire from work, I’m not sure I want to do it again.  It’s too much effort.

Some projects I had not really started.  They are easy. Some I got to a reasonable handover state, that’s not so bad, some I can finish in the next day or so. (Yes “D” – you will have your sales reports).

The rest I will have to document, so that someone else can take over.  “S” made kind remarks about my code being easy to understand. Thank you “S”, that was a major compliment.

I’ve heard about the MRI scan as well. It’s Monday 13:00.   That means we can go to our Anglo-Saxon language group in the morning.  I’m glad about that, I don’t want to miss more than I need to.   Ic ðurfe  ðæm lǣcehūs gesēcan, I’ve got to go to the hospital.

And how do I feel?  That’s harder to say.  I’ve been so busy sorting everything out, I’ve not had much time to think about it.  It’s when I do stop for a minute that it gets difficult.  I just wish I knew what will happen.  Put it bluntly, is it terminal or not?  Should I start reading any long books?

I’ll see how I feel tomorrow about that.

Definitely begin a long book–written by a great author! Why cheat yourself out of weeks or months of excellent reading?

I’m guessing everyone here has had to put aside a masterpiece of a book some time, and then never got back to it.

More seriously, aren’t you getting ahead of yourself re the MRI results when you have yet to have the scan?

Please do remember that we all are concerned for you and–being a bunch of Christians–we’ll be talking to our Lord on your behalf “without ceasing”. Especially Monday 13:00 (Greenwich time?)
    Hugs!
