And so to Dept 42 for the second checkup. It’s where you get the answer to Life, if not the Universe and Everything. Sometimes it’s where you get the answer to Death as well.
Today I got the former.
Just over 2 months ago I’d sat in another room where a very kind doctor explained to me in the best way she could that starting any very long books would be a bad idea. I went home, locked myself in my bedroom and cried.
Now they are saying (no promises but) it looks good. My reaction to the chemo has been very mild. My weight loss over the last 3 weeks is only 8.4 ounces (83.6 to 83.3 Kg). And the fact that I am eating almost normally suggests that the cancer is being hit hard.
On the way out we looked for the people we met last time, who were also on 3 week checkups, and who had had the bad news. Neither of them were there.
So I came home, and I am still shaking.

Lebe wieder bei meiner Frau mit meiner Familie und es ist Gut so!!!!
Aber vieles ist noch sehr durcheinander in mir.
Es ist viel passiert und ich weiß in manchen Dingen nicht, wie es weiter gehen wird.
Im Moment möchte ich einfach nur weinen….gut ich sitze grade mit erweiterten Pupillen beim Augenarzt und erwarte das Ergebnis der Untersuchungen, was lauten wird:
Akzeptieren Sie Ihr Alter. Die Augen sind nicht mehr in den 30ern. Sie können nicht mehr 120% Sehstärke haben wir früher und brauchen auch eine Lesebrille.
Meine Frage:
Bekomme ich einen Hund auf Rezept, wird sanft belächelt.
