I didn’t write a blog yesterday because we were with my son the Engineer for his birthday. After that (a) I was tired (b) nothing exciting had happened. Well I was wrong.
I was up all night going to what in Welsh we call the Tŷ Bach (little house ie bathroom). I’ve picked up another kidney infection (that’s the polite way of saying it). It’s all to do with having a messed up immune system. You could describe the result as a wee distressing.
We rang the out-of-hours people and ended up in the MRI GoToDoc at 9am. Then we did three tours of South Manchester looking for pharmacies which were definately open, except that they weren’t. In one case the pharmacy didn’t seem even to exist. No I don’t know why.
But we found one pharmacy open. Now I’m about to go to bed, hopefully to sleep.
And tomorrow is the scan. Results are a week later, because they have to discuss everything in the Multi-Disciplinary Meeting on Friday. So for that week I’ll be on tenterhooks.
Still we did get an appointment for September from the Christie, so I assume that means they expect me to be alive to attend.
